Tarleton students celebrate exam success!

Once again, senior leaders at Tarleton Academy are delighted with the performance of their Year 11 students in their external GCSE examinations. Nationally GCSE results have returned to pre-pandemic grading standards and the performance of our students considering this is exceptional.

In addition to this our students faced the challenge of the completion of the construction of our new school building and subsequent move only four weeks prior to the commencement of the exams. Despite the noise, limited access to certain areas, and other logistical challenges, our students remained focused and committed to their studies. These results are therefore testament to the resilience, dedication and sheer hard work demonstrated by our students and staff and are reflective of the high standards upheld throughout their five years at Tarleton Academy.

There are many individual performances worthy of special mention. At the very top end a number of students achieved the highest grade (7-9) across a wide range of subjects. These include; Rose Taylor, Cailin Gill, Jamie Perkins, Jonah Baxter, Sahar Yahiaoui and Ella Roberts. Many students have made exceptional progress in their five years at Tarleton Academy and have achieved remarkable outcomes including; Soraia Nobrega, Dylan Stopforth-Kemp, Spencer Baxter, Joshua Lamprecht, Oliva Fowler and Ewan Tagg.

Within the core subjects of English, Maths and Science students have continued to thrive and their hard work has been rewarded with exam success at all levels. There have been other strong subject performances across the creative/practical subjects and the Foundation subjects, including Drama, Food Preparation and Nutrition, History and Spanish . These positive results will facilitate great life chances for so many, enabling the vast majority of our students to progress to their first choice post-16 pathway.

Headteacher Mr. Day expressed gratitude for the collective effort of students and staff, saying, "We are incredibly proud of our students for their hard work and resilience during what has been a challenging period for education. These results demonstrate our students' dedication to their learning and the exceptional level of support they have received from our staff."
